Default And now for Something Completely different..

.. The Monty Python fans will get the Title..

Got this a few days ago from the beach at LSP. I'd seen this on TV a while back.. 1st time I've spotted it on Winni. These folks were having a blast!

Not a great picture, taken with a long lens and still had to be cropped pretty hard.

Nudge nudge wink wink

I've seen a similar thing on TV but the guy was wearing a jet pack contraption which I'm thinking would be much more stable. Just shoes? Geez, I can see the guy getting whipped around like a loose fire hose

LOL-- "if he wasn't nailed to his perch.." never mind..

This guy was getting up to about 30', he was also doing a series of porpoise moves going in and out of the water. I didn't get any good pictures of that because he was half way across the Broads when he started that.

We saw this guy just off Weirs Beach on the 4th of July...it's very cool and he is very good at putting on a show.

"Listen. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right? "

Very cool toy. What does that go for?

Now you have me started.. and I can't stop..

King Arthur: I am your king!

Woman: Well I didn't vote for you!

King Arthur: You don't vote for kings.

Woman: Well how'd you become king then?

Angelic music plays...

King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king!

Dennis: Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony!

I don't know if they're selling it or renting it like you would a jet ski! They had a sign up on the Weirs Beach boardwalk yesterday, $99 for a half hour with longer time slots available. They had a website listed but I can't remember it and I can't find it now.

Like Lakegeezer said in the other thread, it would be entertaining to watch someone strapping it on for the first time!!
