Lake was busy Friday, July 10.

It had been almost a month since I'd been out on Winni. Weather was too nice to go to work, so we spent Friday on the lake. I was pretty shocked by the turnout, looked like a weekend from 2008. Had to wait for 3 boats to launch at the ramp (all knew what they were doing and made the wait painless). Braun Bay was pretty packed, the Center Harbor docks had a 4 boats waiting for slip space when we got there, and wake chop had Meredith Bay pretty churned up. Nice to see.

I agree, it was very busy! We went out for a nice ride in the morning and it was so nice and sunny and calm! Just a great day! I think it got busier as the day went on. Finally some nice weather!

The town docks in Alton Bay were full both times we went by (say 1 and 5-ish) but the lake wasn't really that crowded, compared to past years. A beautiful day for boating.

I took a few co-workers out yesterday for an, ahem, management team meeting. We were out from about 10:30-3:30 and while there was some traffic it was certainly nothing compared today! Yesterday was a much nicer cruising day - little chop, no wind - a spectacular day.

The lake was exceptionally busy last Friday. It was more like a Saturday of years gone by. The weekend as a whole was very busy. Everyone was enjoying that bright orb in the sky that we've been missing.
