What was the current state of the structure? Was it being used or were there any recent plans for it?

Quite a bit of work had been done to ensure the structural integrity of the castle. I know the owners had plans for a full restoration but it seems work had been stalled for a while. It didn't help that the owners divorced an unknown amount of time ago which might have delayed some of the restoration plans. They did a wonderful job restoring the 'cottage' a few years back.

There have been problems with intruders in the castle pretty consistently over the past few years.
