Descant you are quite the piece of work. I post a simple thing advising my fellow boaters about a problem I had, and you pathetically search through my post history looking for a way to discredit me.
It’s no secret I was against the use of the Town owned pier being used by and for a commercial purpose. That was years ago. The town voted and I have moved on, forgot, and forgave. Just because people have different opinions doesn’t mean they are enemies. Our society has forgotten that.
My post was informational. Yours was inflammatory and added zero beneficial information. You choose to believe what you want , but it’s a sad person that feels the need to discredit someone that they disagree with.

This isn't informational, it reads like a hit job.

I'm glad Descant pointed your history out because I couldn't quite put my finger on what your post felt like.

I'm just disappointed in how many people's natural reactions were to inform the authorities rather than wonder if it's even the truth...which you still haven't provided.

What a bunch of old ladies on these forums. I have no time for your nursing home arguments. Done with you old ladies.
Simple facts. Engine was running poor. Troubleshooting revealed water in fuel. Removed said fuel. All I running good now. I was hoping to save someone the trouble I went through. Now, I really don’t care. These forums certainly have changed for worse. I won’t tell you where there are unmarked rocks in Melvin Bay either. Go find them yourselves. Knowit out.

And I'm disappointed at how many people view calling the authorities as inconsistent with wondering what the truth is

Seriously--knowit should call the authorities (and the store if he has not already). If a person believes that someone is damaging engines and/or the lake, that's a moral obligation.

DES can inspect professionally and then everyone will know the truth at that point. Then the problem can be fixed, and/or apologies made.

If you found a fly in your soup, would you assume the restaurant did it on purpose or that another (of many) explanation exists?

And would you then call the Department of Health and go on multiple threads to throw the restaurant under the bus without addressing it with them first and/or getting confirmation?

The above comment made by knowit had no good will as claimed, and, in the 11 years I've been on this forum, I've not heard one complaint about the fuel at Pier 19...and there's even a Winnigas app for hundreds/thousands of users tracking fuel costs, additives, etc.

AND if it was a widespread issue, you don't think the myriad Facebook pages or this forum would have posts about similar issues?

Hell, if someone comes within 150' of another boater, there's a thread about it in seconds.

It just feels disingenuous.

I agree it feels disingenuous, but that's not really for me to judge; I do not know knowit, mistakes happen everywhere, and I care a lot more about gas in the water than a fly in my soup.

Another way to look at my assertion than knowit should call the authorities is that it pressure-tests his conviction. First, if he's not serious, he will not call. Second, if he's mistaken, they will know right away.

I'm not sure why you think it would be a problem for Pier 19 if he called DES. If there is no water in the gas, the inspector and owner can chuckle over the "dope" who called in and have a Coke together. If I were the owner of Pier 19, I would much prefer that to him posting online as he has done.

Filled up our pontoon boat there Saturday. Ran all weekend with no problems.
There was a steady stream of boats in and out of the gas dock. Seems like if there was a widespread problem, it would have affected more than one person?
