I got one of their mailers--I didn't look very closely but NHEC definitely did not bring the lower costs touted when this was under consideration. Maybe faster per dollar? But my TDS is plenty fast already, so I just shrugged.

Maybe someone can straighten me out here?

Been using Fidium in M'boro for many months. It is terrific. Less expensive than NH Broadband who came to the fiber party late !! Have not heard about anyone switching to NH Broadband....most went with Fidium as soon as it was available. Better than Spectrum.

On another subject, just got notice NHEC was increasing rates. With energy costs seemingly going down, not sure why? But then again, I have no good feelings for NHEC management and its Board. But the front line workers are the VERY BEST !!!!!!!!!!

Is Fidium internet only (no TV)? We have a few neighbors that have switched to Fidium.

I'm now on the Neck Rd. in Moultonborough.

Had Spectrum and Fidium, at the same time, with the same number of devices for 1Gig plans. Fidium is symmetrical while Spectrum was not. Wasn't getting better than 325-350 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload from Spectrum, while getting better than 500 upload and download for Fidium. I cancelled Spectrum and went with Fidium.

When NH Broadband came in, and I hooked up at the same time, with Fidium. I got about the same as I did with Spectrum, except NH Broadband is symmetrical. Still around 325-350 Mbps for NH Broadband while Fidium is better than 500 Mbps with the same number of devices, at different times of the day. Again, both with 1Gig plans. Got rid of NH Broadband and am still with Fidium and happy with it.

Use OOkla and Google for speed tests.

Fidium and NH Broadband are "internet only"; but even "cable companies" realize "streaming" is the future.

I use Youtubetv (not youtube) for TV streaming and am happy with it. Have Roku TV and formally used Roku boxes for many, many years.

I had looked at Starlink years back for here, but didn't want to spend the money for the equipment to play with it. My son uses Starlink on his camper and is OK with it.

Way back (when on Long Island) before MoBo even had Adelphia cable, I had installed DirectTV on my roof myself. Problem with satellite is the weather, cloud cover.
