While I am not minimizing the conduct of these clowns it seems to be unreasonable to expect the police to devote constant effort and resources (i.e., money) to solving the crime if there were no substantial injuries or other damages done.

If the assault was only a shove then this is likely "case closed."
Interesting issue. If the manager was a reasonably fit guy and shrugged it off, I think I agree. No harm, no foul. OTOH, if the manager was young, small, intimidated, now looking for another job because they are anxious...then the manager and the business have suffered substantial damages.

I thought that the manager was a female threat night.

Default Follow up actions

Mr V, I'd like to think the police are still working on this. I would think if any type of assault took place there might be other charges to follow. If only a shove occurred did that result in other patrons be concerned or put in fear? If so, there could be a charge of disorderly conduct against the assailant. If they were told to leave and didn't I consider a possible trespass charge. Lastly, I'd like to identify them and send a letter informing them in writing they are no longer welcome on the property.

I disagree. People should be held accountable for their actions. It should not be dependent on the size or gender of the person(s) involved.

Aside from the assault they also left the premises with open alcohol containers stolen from the premises and most likely drunk driving.

Female manager (not that it should matter), open containers, property damage. And I agree, likely drunk driving.

I agree people should be held responsible for their actions, but actions depend on the people involved.

Let's say a guy is significantly smaller than I am; and he pushes me aggressively as he's leaving the restaurant, or he takes a swing at me, or pinches my ass and says haha. I push him back and don't think about him again. The police come and ask if I want to press charges, I laugh.

Now let's say the same guy does one of those things to my daughter or my wife. I'm not laughing anymore...

Let us assume the identity of these people is determined, and that they live out of state, say in Mass.

I believe the most the local PD can do is issue a warrant for their arrest for a misdemeanor or misdemeanors, a warrant which is not effective out of NH as there is no extradition for misdemeanors.

Yes, if they return to NH and are somehow involved with and identified by law enforcement then the warrant would be executed on, but absent that they're free to fly under the radar.

Isn't there a Thread at the bottom of the front page regarding this issue?

On the conrary, sir, you are the one out of line, the one who needs to "grow up."

Such scurrilous comments, whether true or not, do not belong on this forum.

the reality is theres "bad apples" in every group. true folks from out of state do bring there attitudes with them, driving habbits, cussing . as a contractor people think youre waiting by the phone hasn't been that way for at least 10+ years. why do people move up here? peace and quite relaxed life style, so then relax leave your negative energy in the cities and enjoy. I for one dont care about how much money you have leave it behind enjoy what is left up here with all these new buildings its changing by the minute. relax these people that caused this will get theres know doubt in my mind they will get theres.

I think the difference is people that have ''moved'' here, and those that only consider this a ''vacation''. Movers either fit in over time, or they don't. Vacationers generally don't really care if they fit in - some like these are a little bit extreme.

In the past, we may have just ignored the vacationers, as they were short term or weekenders that the contact with would be limited; but with all the movers still taking the time to adapt... and some trying to make us adapt (a waste of time)... the stress is increased.
