Does insurance cover cars falling through the ice? ...... https://carinsurance.com/Articles/ca...rough-ice.aspx
'Comprehensive coverage usually pays for it unless it was your intention to fall your car through the ice plus some policies will have an exclusion for falling through the ice.'

Oh, driving on ice sounds super risky. Diver1111's link is like a big warning sign. 8gv and TheTimeTraveler make good points about being safe and not taking chances. mswlogo talks about ice racing being fun but reminds us to be smart about it. Camp guy is all about staying safe too, and Merrymeeting and tis give us a heads-up about insurance stuff. Seems like everyone agrees it's better to be super careful if you're going on ice, and having emergency tools in the car sounds like a smart move. Stay safe, everyone!
