I have an 10 yr old Ariens 624 with a Briggs motor. It was bogging down, “hunting” and generally running poorly. I bought an entire replacement carburetor on Amazon for the grand sum of $14 and free shipping. 15 minute replacement job with a single wrench and screwdriver. Now It’s as good as new. Very simple, very easy.
