Marinas, Yacht Clubs, Boat Yards COVID-19 plans

I saw the following notice from Spinnaker Cove Yacht Club:

"...given the Governor's "stay-at-home" orders and social distancing requirements, the clubhouse including bathroom facilities will not be accessible until May 5th at the earliest. We will follow the "stay-at-home" order until it is lifted by the Governor."

It looks like Mountain View (MVYC) has updated their COVID policies as of May 4th:

There appears to be some missing attachments from their website, but it seems they are doing things safely. It seems that they emailed all of their owners with the details.

They say people can be on the property as of May 5th following their procedures.

COVID-19 Protocol

Customers may access the building using their key, but keeping the door locked at all times. Do not allow anyone else to enter the building with you. Do not open any of the other commonly used doors in the building.

Please proceed directly to your boat. Once in the building please remain on board your boat or remove your boat from the building. You may access rest room facilities, as needed, but practice proper social distancing. No congregating with others or entering the service work areas. Do not enter any of the office areas.

Please contact the service or parts departments by phone for any specific needs.

Fay's Boat Yard:

FBY will slowly re-open for our customers* with the following guidelines. We will update our procedures as protocols change on our website and our Facebook page.

It is our intention to allow customers* access to FBY for the use of their boats and at the same time reduce the transmission of Covid-19 amongst employees & customers*.

The main entrance will have an employee posted for questions.

We will start opening for customer* access on weekends only.

Saturdays & Sundays: 8am – 5pm

(this is for FBY customers* only until stay at home order is lifted.)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Ramp is Closed to the Public*. Open only to FBY customers*.

Customers* are to go directly to their boats to minimize exposure to all.

Maintain social distancing (6’ apart) at all times, especially on docks, designated customer bathroom facilities and in parking areas. No congregating.

Face coverings should be worn.

Washing of hands and use of hand sanitizer should be practiced often. Buckets with disinfectant solution are located in all high traffic areas.

Valet customers* are required to call 603-293-8000 1 hour ahead – NO WALK IN SERVICE. Practice social distancing when boarding, loading and off loading boats.

Customers* must call ahead for an appointment for service and wash station usage.

Boat Sales and Boat Service will be OPEN. Please call ahead for Sales or Service Appointments.

The Fuel Dock WILL BE OPEN to FBY customers*. You must disembark from your boats and maintain a 6’ distance. Please follow the gas dock employee’s directions. You can either charge the gas to your account OR call the office at 603-293-8000 to make a credit card payment.

All Shop areas are CLOSED to FBY customers* & the public*. NO EXCEPTIONS.

No Ice or soda will be available until after stay at home order is lifted.

Retail store customers* should call ahead to have items paid for and picked up outside the store in the drop box.

If you feel ill, please stay home or leave premises immediately.

*Customers are defined as having an account, slip or boat in the yard.

*Public is defined as all persons with no affiliation with the yard.

Hopefully, in a nice manner, inform those individuals that has docks are open only to FBY customers. Hopefully, they will put up a sign stating the policy to minimize potential verbal abuse by those being turned away.

Effective Friday 5/15/20 Fay’s Boat Yard is open for the season to Current Customers* Only with the following guidelines.

2. Customers are to go directly to their boats and observe social distancing.

3. Social Distancing 6’ apart needs to be observed at all docking areas, this means you may have to step aside to allow someone to pass.

4. Hand sanitizer is available in Blue Buckets at high traffic areas.

5. Bathroom facilities are located on either side of the valet area..

6. The retail stores are closed until the Stay at home order is lifted- Please call 603-293-8000 for assistance for any parts or store items and they will be placed conveniently for you to pick up.

7. Fuel Dock is open – Please obey the attendant on duty to stay safe.

8. No Soda or Ice will be available until Stay at Home order is lifted.

9. Ramp is closed to the Public until Stay at Home order is lifted.

10. Valet Customers are required to call 603.293.8000 at least 1 hour ahead- No WALK IN SERVICE and practice social distancing when boarding & off-loading boats. Valet customers should call ahead for service & wash station usage.

Gas

Gas & Diesel Dock will be open daily starting May 22nd, 8:00 AM - 5:00PM!

Our Gas Dock Attendants will be wearing masks, please either also wear a mask or remain six feet away from the Gas Dock Attendant at all times.
