About 35 years ago, when I had my first stove, I left her home alone with three little kids and the stove going with the doors open and screen in place because she wanted to watch the fire.
Well she loaded up the stove and the pipe caught on fire. She called the fire department, they came and just closed the doors and vent to suffocated the fire. It was my fault because I didn't school her on what to do if that happened. She hasn't touched a piece of hardwood since! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
