Curious about island homes like this one. Where does one leave their car and boat when traveling to and from the island?

Each island is part of a mainland town...therefore, the town makes allowances at certain marinas to let people park by permit. This is how I understand it anyway.

Many islanders own boat slips in places such as Mountain View Yacht Club. For Gilford islanders you can also park and dock at Glendale. Other towns have similar arrangements.

Islanders rent boat slips at marinas near the island. We have a slip at West Alton Marina. Many of our neighbors use Minge Cove. Some also rent docks from private owners on the mainland.
