I just don't think the food was the same as it used to be. Maybe they bought pre packaged things, I don't know. I mostly bought a dozen cream filled donuts and honey corn bread and neither were as good when the kids took over. And most of the time I called ahead or they didn't have enough.

Haven't been in there in 20 years and do not get the comment about the Donuts tasting like bread.

Service was terrible! You aren’t going to make it in the Peak of summer with a line out the door and 5 people behind the counter and one person serving customers! Not going to happen. No organization whatsoever.
Hope they get some training now while it’s slow. Portions were small on some of the items. Definitely a tourist trap but hey when you’re on vacation money doesn’t matter right? |

In the old days, there was always a line out the door. They did have more than one person waiting on customers though.

Visited the Yum Yum Shop this afternoon.
Plenty of help behind the counter and service was excellent. Gifford's ice cream being served and everyone enjoyed it. The cases were loaded with delicious looking baked goods. The blue/white interior decor is adorable with a small area to purchase Yum Yum Shop apparel and an indoor table area with a fabulous water view. A small seating area out back and a beautifully landscaped patio and seating area in front. Happy to see the Gingerbread man weathervane and the Yum Yum Shop bench remain ![]() Boaters were docking and folks walking over. The Marriott "kids" have done a great job! |

$6 for a loaf of bread. $2 each for turnovers & spice bars! It will have to be a short season. Local folks won’t pay those prices. Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

It's true. Doughnuts are $18. a dozen which is 1.20 each. I have to agree with WH59 I think it will be more of a treat than a regular purchase for most.

I think those prices sound good for a treat--less than a candy bar.
My parents live in York, Maine where the local fish shop drops its prices in the Winter. That seems both smart and fair, maybe Yum Yum will do the same. |

Certain doughnuts are less than 1.20 too.

$18 ÷ 12 = $1.50 per donut.

You are right. So where did the $18.00 come from? Must be more than 1.20.
