I picked up the free, permanent fishing license, even though I don't fish. Why? Because it also confers the same benefits as a Hike Safe card.

When did you get the free license? Picked up? At F & G headquarters or just from an agent?

I did it by mail, and I don't remember if I had to pay a transaction fee or not, but it saved me a drive to wherever the closest F&G office was. Here is the application form: http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/lice...ver-68-app.pdf
