I liked the speed. I would not have it watched for 5 minutes.

Thanks for posting the vids. When I go through the channel, it's to get to a destination. I appreciate that some just want to go as slow as possible and eyeball everything and everybody. If you put popcorn in the microwave as you go under the bridge, it's ready as you leave at the south end. Now, that's makin' headway.

Great video of a kind of unique, out of the way place on Winnie.
Interestingly, many years ago we rented a house on Sally's Gut. Big place, 5 bedrooms, a huge family-cave and a screened in gazebo with hot tub. The place was for sale at the time and we were amazed at the outrageous asking price. $450K, if I recall! Oh, and it included a pretty nice boathouse ... seen at about 26 seconds in the video on the right..... if only we knew..... Cheers..... Gusman |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I had to laugh at the second video as I am the guy that was driving the boat that was going all over the place. While I do consider myself a "newbie" to boating as this is only my second season on the lake, I was not drunk. The reason I am all over the place in the video is that unlike most people on the lake, I have a jet boat. Jet boats have a real hard time tracking straight at headway speed and additionally the boats in front of me were going even slower than usual. What a lot of people do not know is that jet boats do not have a true neutral. There is always a little thrust in the forward direction. Also, when you put a jet boat in reverse while moving forward it tends to want to spin the boat. Hence what you saw when I was getting very close to the gas dock.. Please know that I am not trying to defend myself as I was very amused when I watched the video and as much reading the comments, but I did feel compelled to explain why you may see a boat not tracking straight at slow speeds. |
