Thanks for the info! Hopefully they have corrected any issues that you experienced as I just ordered one. I have read many reviews on line and you are the first I have read about to experience this problem.

I figure it has to be better than not wearing anything. When I am not trolling and underway, I will simply use the manual lanyard.
