Both the female and male have been at the feeder for the last few days.
Managed to get a halfway decent shot of the male this morning before the heavy rain. I think it's the same pair that were here last year, not because I recognize them , but because they are nesting in the same exact tree that the pair from last year nested in... with all of the trees we have, I find it hard to believe a separate pair would use the same spot in the same tree.

I had two buzzing wildly in and around my cherry tree a few days ago. I figured it was the male who has been hanging around chasing another hummingbird from "his" feeders. Then they both landed on the same branch and let's just say they were definitely NOT fighting. Can't say I've ever seen that before...

During the past week, we saw a humming bird visit our hanging feeder on our cottage porch on East Bear Island. It was great seeing that they have returned.
