No I don't think it is much different than it is usually at this time of year. There was also a string wind that was nice when it was on our backs but we fought it in the way out.

I think they were poking you, there is no current out on the lake. Some, going down the channel into Paugus Bay but yesterdays wind would have far exceeded the strength of any current.
I was out on my bike checking jobs for next year and got pushed all over 11 coming and going to Alton from Laconia.
The lake would have been the last place we would have wanted to be yesterday in those winds, you must have gotten sprayed pretty good as well.
Enjoy your winter and hope for lots of snow, but not till after December 1st.
