It does look to be a bit bigger than it did yesterday. Could be the biggest of the year for some/many folks.
Most of the snow will come from warm air advection and cold air damming, a classic battle between air masses and the models do not handle this that well at all. It will be a long duration storm and the cold air will hang in around the lake, so there is no question of any major mixing. That should make the folks that plow snow very happy. Snow growth looks to be fairly good as a result of lifting so we could see 15:1 ratios in most parts around the lake. I still think there will be a significant range in accumulations depending on what side of a hill you live on. Windward side will get the most and if your are in the wind shadow of the hill, you will get less. Enjoy! R2B |

I'm headed there tomorrow myself. Right now here in Alton they are handling most of the snow with sand and salt, however that could change quickly as we are getting fairly heavy fine snow right now. Up on the mountain there is about 8" and that is hard to tell with the wind blowing everywhere right now. Our town road here with little traffic is wet with spots of snow all over it.

Looks like about 5-6 inches in my part of Gilford. Ran the snowblower 2 hours ago, and it's still snowing, looks like I'll need to go over it again.
Snow is very fine at this point and pretty much powder as opposed to wet. The folks at Gunstock have to be liking this snow. Town plowed late this morning, and roads are pretty well covered over since then.
