I've been married for 45 years. I took my wedding ring OFF after the first year. Haven't worn it since. It's in my wifes jewelry box. I had a co-worker (NAVY) who had a break in the skin ..in one of those skin creases on the palm side of the finger..it was open and infected.
I was tasked with cutting the ring Off. A Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel ...IF I had had one available, would have made the "Site" too hot. I used a jewelers hacksaw and file. It was tedious and uncomfortable for the "patient". The ring was destroyed. Just my experience. WE..don't wear rings. NBPS: I forgot to mention..the finger was swollen and the ring could not be removed in the conventional manner. |
