All places mentioned above are good with the exception of Sandy Point. Sorry, but Sandy Point is mediocre.
I would recommend Johnson's in New Durham or Makris in Concord for seafood. The Lyon's Den has the best crab cakes!

Try going to Portsmouth. Lots of fresh sea food on decks and lots of choices.

Jumpin' Jays near Market Square is the place for gourmet seafood.

I have to agree with jack1706. Not the classiest place but Sandy Point is worth trying. Very consistant. Great fried clams.
It use to be hot but since they installed central air, the place is coool. |

Ignore the naysaysers about Sandy Point. It is just old fashioned, but the food is really quite good.

Great place...great people...GREAT FOOD! We'll be there tonight for the AYCE fried clams....though it's hard to make it through the first serving!

It's part of the Weathervane chain (which is local to the northeast), and it's right int he hear of the Weirs.
Service is excellent and the food is really quite good. Sawyer's is also a good choice in Gilford. |
