my first """ cycle """ was an 80 CC Yamaha .. all my friends had Vespa's, so I was the neighborhood rebel with my blue Yamaha.
Traded that in for a two year ride ( Huey UH1D .. color green, owned by Uncle Sam) Post active duty it was a black Yamaha 250 CC scrambler .. replaced a year later by a BSA 441 Victor. Last edited by Winni-Retired; 10-15-2010 at 09:05 PM. |

Got my license in '69 and currently ride an Electraglide Ultra CVO. My wife rides a Streetglide.
We both just got our advanced rider certificate over in Bucksport, ME at A&J's. I highly recommend them. I usually put on about 9,000 miles/year. |

Just got home 1/2 hour ago from a nice long ride around the lake and up through laconia and down 11b and back to Alton, my wife was a little chilly but it was beautiful! Been riding since '74 and current ride is a Vulcan 1500 Classic.

You guys are killin' me...I just sold my "09 Road Glide. The ol' ticker not that great right now, neither is the economy. Maybe when I get everything fixed, I'll get another ride. Really missed it this weekend. It was beautiful out....
I always found that when I was getting stressed out, or need to think about things in life, a ride on my bike solved a lot of problems. Plenty of time to think while riding the Kanc/302 loop....Sigh......

Began riding about 11 years ago after starting off by taking a NH safe rider's course. About the best $80 or so I've ever spent as it helped me confirm I really did want to get into this. And of course it taught me safety techniques & tips that I use every time I ride.

I love to ride and got my MC license back in 1986. I do a little over 10,000 miles a year on my Ninja ZX9R.
I guess the sport bike makes me the odd guy out here, but I can't imagine riding anything else (and I've ridden a huge variety of bikes). I love the comfort, power, handling and brakes. |

Whatcha ride? I avoid the lake's region on Father's Day weekend. I like to ride alone or in a small group at the most, and I like deserted back roads. Sorta the opposite of that weekend...

My next bike will probably be a BMW. I really like the 1000RR sport bike. I doubt I'll ever have multiple bike again until my dad passes (he told me I will inherit one of his vintage bikes). |

Before I got my drivers license I had my motorcycle license in 1979. I started on Japanese cruisers then went on to superbike style of the early to mid 80"s then in 1994 I purchased a Heritage Nostalgia. Since then I have ridden mostly on Harley Davidson bagger type bikes. I am a large rider and that style bike is the best comfort for me although I like all kinds of bikes.
The Lakes Region along with the White Mountains offer some of the best riding in the Northeast (in my opinion). I rarely ride in Mass. due to the fact that it is much more congested and its more dangerous. New Hampshire motorists are more accustomed to motorcycles and there is obviously less traffic. Boating was the normal weekend routine for many years but now the bike gets used much more often. For me, riding is most enjoyable and a great way to meet new people. Look me up when you want to ride! See you at the LOONEY BIN. Ride safe! |

I LOVE to ride!! I got my MC license last spring and did some back road riding over the summer. I typically ride on the back......don't have to worry about having a few drinks, and I can wear fun shoes!
