I have had two cats torn to pieces by fishers over the years. They are the only animal that I would shoot on sight. They are ruthless killers that kill for the fun of it. Don't let your cats out if they are around.

We have 2 packs of coyotes around our house, 5 in one, 7 in the other. We keep our cats in. I would think the fishers would lose to the coyotes so we have not seen any.

The dog is a gentle giant but still 110 pounds so even the coyotes leave him alone

I have lost a couple of cats to nasty fishers, and a neighbor lost their beagle - yes, they will go after dogs, and they will kill them, and they do not do it for food.

They are nasty animals with no purpose on my planet. I'll reload for sam and help him take them out.
