Man, you have the best sense of humor that I ever saw out here.
Starters, start your engines... They do not slip. If the mounting bolts are not tightened to start with, then and Oh yes, they will brake bolts like popcorn, and consider yourself lucky because I have seen loose starters brake not only bolts, but engine blocks as well. Nothing new mind you, lots of torque involved to light an engine off... The more compression an engine has, the more critical things become.

I read and enjoy your comments here, and also can't help feeling sorry for some of the engine problems that you have suffered. I trust you, and my sincere hope is that you will find a competent outfit to perform any work on your boat that you for what ever reason elect to outsource to them.

Here's to a short learning curve [ for you ], and a long and very Happy boating future!!
Best of luck to you and your's,

Terry

Thanks Terry... It has been a long road but she performed beautifully this weekend. Ran to Alton for lunch with my wife and son. Met up with Sunset Bob. Great seeing you... Then all the way home... Yesterday made it to Braun Bay then back.... Wow A LOT of boat traffic and saw many captn bone head moves..... But its the 4th so what do you expect.

Now I remember why I normally don't put in on the 4th and watch from the dock. But all in all Great weekend..

Boat is on the trailer.. Off to VA tomorrow at 3 AM... Have a safe week everyone. Will post pics when I get back... Can't wait to hammer the stick down and race the James!

Good luck down there!

I was sitting on the beach yesterday when you came back in around the Triangle. It is the first time I saw and heard your boat underway. Very nice.

We were off the water today. July 4th is just too busy out there for my 14'. Took in the Castle in the Clouds. Great day for a visit there! They are doing a great job with the house and grounds. Everything was looking great.

After the Castle we took a ride down to look at the lake at States Landing and guess who had just loaded his boat on the trailer. Ocdactive with his dad. Great to meet both of you. My boat could be the dingy for the OCDACTIVE

Great to finally meet you in person! OCD almost didn't make it to VA.... Hit a deer in CT on my way down. Truck and Boat are fine but it took out the fender of the trailer. I had to jerry rig it to hold it on and off the tire. Could have been A LOT worse...

Default Crowded weekend.

Friday was fantastic up until about 3 PM. It got a little crazy. Saturday, I had to work. Early Sunday morning was fantastic! Quit around 10 AM, again got a little crazy. Toward the evening, I decided to head up to Moultonborough Neck to see friends. What a nightmare out of the Weirs Channel! Yesterday was nice after 6 PM.

My sister and nephews are up from Lake Norman, NC for the week. Heading out to Braun Bay for the day and heading to 20 Mile bay for a cookout after. Perfect day for the sand bar!

It really calmed down quickly after 6 PM yesterday, we even were able to ski in Mboro Bay.

Default What a trip

Well other then hitting the deer it was a tremendous trip! Will get some pics up later on but another winni.com member joined me with his Donzi and we experienced some great times. The actual run was great but the weather was intermitent. At one point on our way to Norfolk the rain came down so hard and the wind kicked up it felt like we were in a washing machine with 5 ft cross wakes, tidal waves, and rollers... It was amazing though.

Will get more details and photos up later on but have to get this pile of work done!

Redwing and I had a great afternoon on the lake. We traveled on my seadoo from Green's Basin to Alton and Wolfeboro. There wasn't any wind so the only swells we encountered were created by other boats. Being on the lake made our day!

Isn't it surprising how a little different geographical location can change the same sunset? Looking West, we had this view of the same sunset.

Looking East, a brilliant double-rainbow appeared after the rain. Just in moving to the end of the dock (from the porch), its intensity had diminished for this photo.

Default Four days off!

I will be living at the marina. I will be out and about on the lake. Going to take advantage of the quietness today and cruise the lake. Saturday and Sunday, while it is crazy, visit friends until the lake quiet down and cruise again.

Life is good.

WOW, that is a close as you can get,,,

That would have shaved a few years off my life,,,

Glad the damage was limited and didn't ruin your trip.

What is it that say,,, "what doesn't kill you,,," Well it doesnt kill you!

Hopefully this is your only hiccup on the trip.

ENJOY!
