About ten days ago.
Gov. Endicott coming up next-massive 10GB file needs some trimming. I only wish we were in tropical waters so we could step back a bit with the camera and show as best we could the entire wreck. But the side-scan image does the best I can for that under the circumstances. Seeing the wreck personally is nice, too. Yeah. |

Depth of this wreck is about 27 feet.
Camera type was Sony TRV 900 shot by Lea Nichols. I don't intend to disclose its position except to some divers I know and trust-I am confident it would get trashed at some point. |

Wow, that was very cool! I agree with RG, it was very peaceful to watch. I have to ask, though ... what in the world is the sound heard near the three minute mark? It sounds like a circular saw, but obviously is not. Was it a boat going by?

Having done plenty of snorkeling at the lake, I recognize that noise as a boat going by - they sound much closer than they are!

Thanks RG! That's got to be a very unnerving sound the first time you hear it!

Yep, boats for sure. The first one sounded further away, the later one sounded much closer. The microphone on that camera is excellent! It really projected the sounds of diving -- breathing in, the bubbling of exhaling. Boat engines. Very cool. Looks like a very old wreck. Love to dive it some time!
