Say, Paul, I was wondering about carving out a small parking slot off to the side somewhere that I could park the Cub in and leave and return a few times during the day without getting into the regular parking area each time. We've got a few friends coming from a long distance away that have expressed an interest in taking a Cub flight from the ice. Maybe someplace like I've shown in yellow? Not a big deal but it might make things a little easier.

GREAT picture, BTW, flyguy!

Default Ice Airport

Hi Dave' That will be fine because I'm going to put the over flow just above your yellow mark at the first inlet from the runway and taxiway. The fact is there isn't much snow. But keeping everything in control, and not crazy. Thank's Paul

I am planning on heading up this weekend for the Winter Carnival. But the main purpose for my visit is for my son to see the planes take-off and/or land on the ice. So in order to maximize one or the other, when do most of the pilots plan on arriving and/or leaving? Do they come in on Sunday morning and spend the day?

In other words...when does the most airplane activity occur?

I haven't seen anything pertaining the air traffic for the winter carnival day activities except for the unfortunate mishap. Was it a busy day and did all that attend (pilots and riders) have a good time???
Thanks Paul and gang. My appreciation is in the bucket at BC.
