why does it matter whether the ground is frozen solid or not? Saturday's storm seems to be sticking to the grass pretty good!

Looking like a much bigger event than originally thought. NWS has just changed the forecast: Winter Storm Warning with 6 to 10 inches of white gold!

Because the plow blade will peel up the lawn and leave a nasty mess for the spring clean up. For those that plow for extra cash in the winter this can be a bad thing and if you have to constantly raise the blade at the grass line you add a fair amount of time to your route or yard clearing time.
