Anyone have an opinion on Village Kitchen also called Country Cookin

1. there are only three dots in an ellipsis. Dot dot dot... Major pet peeve of mine.
2. CAPS LOCK SENTENCES ARE SCREAMING. And rude.
3. Only newbies and tourists call the VK Country Cookin.
4. You can see right through your BS. That makes you and The Bobhouse look bad, which kinda blows your agenda.

Lovely..........If you review all of my posts over the years you will be hard pressed to find a negative or angry post, but you have pushed my button.
You've been a member of this forum for 3 days and have proceeded to bad mouth the Woodshed (40 years in business), the Corner House (40 years), the VK,(25 years), Sam&Rosies(10 years), Lemongrass and Kevins(not negative,but using the thread to promote your new favorite restaurant). Somehow, we have all managed to survive without your approval. Who appointed you to be the lakes regions restaurant critic?
You are a coward to use this forum to promote your newfound obsession without identifying yourself.

Oh, please. I read these threads all the time, and Lovely's posts have become ridiculous. 3 Days and all her posts promote The Bob House? No, no agenda there, not at all! You can't beat VK for breakfast!

Actually LovelytoSeeYou has influenced me BIG TIME! Yup, it has put a bad taste in my mouth about the Bob House. Maybe it is a coincidence and this person actually loves, loves, loves this new restaurant so much that he or she has to mention it in all 11 posts.

However, if it walks like a duck... well you know the rest. All I can say is that if you are a friend of the owners or an employee or have some relation to the Bob House you have done far more damage than good. If somehow, and I doubt it, I am wrong please do us all a favor and leave your review and let it stand without mentioning competitor.

FYI,
I am not a restaurant owner, I have no agenda. I have my favorites and my not so favorites. I take issue with you degrading 3 or 4 of the best restaurants in the lakes region and praising this new place as the second coming of Christ. I have yet to try the Bob House but this is strike #2 as far as I am concerned. I hope it stays in business long enough for me to try it though.

I think the food at the VK is great....I think the service at the VK is superior....I am not related to Bob, the head chef, or any of the wonderful wait staff....! I never object to pulling up and parking only to find a line out the door....fine dining is worth waiting for....The Inn at Little Washington, one of the top restaurants in the USA has a 6 to 8 month waiting list....and no line! If you don't like the line for Sat. or Sun. VK breakfast...go on Monday...never a line!

Oh, one more thing : My Mom always told me that if I can't say anything nice about someone or something....well you know the rest...so I thought I should say something nice about The Bob House.... "It always makes me smile

when I drive by their "temporary-looking" sign, because I know that just a little further down the road and around the bend a good meal is waiting for me at the VK!!"
