Keep checking the hardware stores. That's where I've gotten mine over the years. BTW, pallets are perfect for stacking firewood! Garden centers are another good source. Even the stores that reuse them will have some that are not good enough for their use, but plenty good enough for firewood.

I see them in the dump all the time. Go to the demo pile or ask the guys working there.
The local building supply places use them to deliver goods onsite to contractors. If you have a good sized building project going on in your locale you can likely shag a few from that site as well. |
