A boat like that should have a 13ish foot RIB tender so they can simply anchor offshore a bit and take the entire-boat-is-a-fender, easy-to-find-dock-space-for, dinghy to the docks and easily squeeze into any available spot without any possibility of harming anyone else's boat. I'm amazed this is not a thing on the lake yet. We do it all the time from our boat in coastal ports. Hmmm, $500+ a night for a transient slip, or anchor and use the free dinghy dock, not a tough choice... Our RIB dinghy paid for itself in just one season of cruising and we have a blast ripping around in it near our home port.
