I want to change my boat engine oil (10Wx40), and install a new oil filter, my problem is I don't know what type oil filter is on engine ? The engine is a 2001 MerCruiser 4.3L V6. What type filter should be used ? I don't want to remove current filter, until I'm ready to perform the oil change. Can I use a automotive type filter, or does it require a marine spec. unit ? Thanks !
