Very old 32; boat
Found this on a tip from an island resident. Very cool tapered stern-not something I see often-not squared off, not rounded like a fantail steamer.
Interesting engine on board-might be a McDuff I'm not sure. If it is a McDuff it's the 3rd one I've found. Story goes that it caught fire and was pushed away for safety reasons from the dock. Possibly named "Babs". Vessel was replaced about 1931-32. Does show minor signs of fire damage but otherwise intact. |
