Might I kindly suggest making the chart "red-light readable"? Essentially it would only entail changing the color of everything that is red to red-brown.

I discovered it wasn't this summer one night while trying to figure out where all the red buoys went!

And you could advertise your charts as "red-light readable." At the very least, it sounds cool!
