pictures of your boat from the air
I heard dock talk recently about some kind of group photoshoot for boaters from the air. There was mention of considerable cost savings by sharing the price between numerous boaters.
I searched the forum and the only information I can find is this thread about a group helicopter rental from May 2006, Aerial Action photos of you in your boat!!! This sounds like what I am looking for and I would like more details. Who is organizing this, when, where, how do I join the group. I'd love to get in on this. I thought maybe CSUhockey3 might be planning to do this with his plane instead of the helicopter rental like they mentioned in the 2006 thread. My search found no other information. Anyone know about anything like this coming up? I would love a action picture of my boat. Thanks in advance.

We went over to the assigned area last year during one of the shoot times...it was fun at the time, and the photo came out well. |

Group Photoshoot Cost
I noticed on their website that the cost for a private photoshoot is $450 - is that the cost as well for the group photoshoot? Anyone know what the expected cost is to get a photo suring the group photoshoot?

idigtractors - the add is confusing - they list prices for "Custom Edited Prints", but are they an add-on to the $450 base package or are they the a-la-carte prices for any photo? Clear as mud to me .....

It costs nothing to participate in a ShootMyBoat event, and there is no obligation to purchase anything. Various products will be offered online afterwards, ranging from a low resolution digital download (under $15), to enlargements as big as 30" x 20" (for somewhat more.)

Bill
How much notice do you generally need to set up a shoot? We received a gift certificate for one as a Christmas gift from our children and are eagerly looking forward to it; but, I've been waiting for weather that is warm enough to ditch the camper canvas and bimini! Silver Duck |

Hi There,
Looking forward to it! 2-4 days notice is usually sufficient. Best to give me a call so we can work out the details. It's also better to shoot during the week if possible. |

Tomorrow does look like a great weather day for boating and for pictures. I would be interested to hear from participants about how easy it is to do and I'll look at the flyguys web to see the pictures for myself. Thank you all for the input and information. I knew the forum would find answers for me. I always wanted an affordable aerial picture of my boat in action. Looks like I'll get one this summer. Enjoy!
