This is always the debate in my head when putting on Deet or any bug spray or spraying my yard. Do I want West Nile Virus or EEE now, or cancer from the chemicals preventing it in 15 years?

As another poster has noted, you are dammed if you do, and dammed if you don't. But in my way of thinking, I'll take the DEET spray to keep them away. Carpet bombing the whole area and potentially killing beneficial insects doesn't seem to be the way to go. Not to mention shoveling against the tide. We do live in thousands of acres of woods. |

They treat all around the property including around the outside of the home, wooded areas, grass, scrubs etc.
Price is based on the size of your property and the areas that need to be treated Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

I was wondering what the travel patterns are of mosquitoes? Do they stay near where they were spawned? Do they just travel aimlessly, great distances, looking for that blood supply? Males and females may have different patterns.
It would seem that treating my place would be of little benefit if my neighbors don't do the same. Where I am, it's the worst I've seen in a long time.

Mosquito control companies use a natural product such as Essentria which has Rosemary oil, Geraniol, and peppermint oil..safe around water, docks and fish...creates a barrier while providing knockdown power...works really well...
