WSC Castle reroute
I wish this was being posted with better news, but were just informed that we have a land owner issue with our castle reroute. This trail will not be open until further notice.
Our signs are still posted closed on both ends but we have had people asking and have been hinting that we would be opening it with the recent snow fall. Again sorry for the bad news but please stay off that trail until the matter can be resolved Thanks WSC |

I just heard this. Horrible news. As FYI NHSA trail report today just noted that this trail had reopened. This will cause confusion.....

Considering the amount of money generated by the snowmobile industry in NH, it is time for the State to help out and offer tax incentives to landowners aiding the sport. Hopefully, this will take some of the pressure off the movement to close access to trails.

That would be great idea but I think it would open the floodgates and cost the state too much money. I would think that if that passed people who allowed hunting on their land or atv 's would want same treatment

I don't think money would make people change their minds about opening their land. Unfortunately money wouldn't fix the issues.

This closure is due to an issue between the landowner and the town of Moultonborough (previous years with Tuftonboro) and the snowmobile club and all the hard working volunteers and club members from the region are paying the price. It’s nothing any snowmobilers did.
