Default Teenagers / Moultonborough

We just moved into town and our son will start at the Moultonborough High School in the fall.(Freshman year)
Moves are always tough for kids and I was wondering if anyone could suggest if there are summer activities in the area where he might make some in -town friends before school starts? It seems the Recreation Dept programs are full. He is 14.
Thanks for Your thoughts.

Talking he won't be lonely for long

My daughter will be a sophomore at the Academy, and we always joke about the poor new boys, they can't keep the girls away (the norm for such a small school, I'm sure.) Be careful what you ask for is my warning!

What are his interests? Any sports? Music? Academic preferences?

....Video games ( big interest),watching and commenting on major league baseball, hiking. Would like to see him explore new interests.

With the town rec programs filled, he can't participate - but even if there is something going on in the area where he can go hang out and introduce himself to other kids?

Thanks for your response - It is encouraging !

Wink he can meet a bunch of girls tomorrow

My daughter is on the summer soccer team and the M'Boro girls have a game against Gilford tomorrow evening at 6:30 at the field behind the Academy. The kids range from incoming freshman to one or two that just graduated, and there's generally a group of boys hanging out at the home games. I'll pm you the details, maybe we can meet up and I'll put my kid in charge of introductions.

Default Welcome NEWCOMERS!

There is always a lot going on at the Town Beach. We also have a great Boy Scout program. I believe that they meet at the Lion's club.

By the way, Moultonberry residents can use the Center Harbor beach as well.

See Ya around!
