Default Where do the 20 somethings hang out on a Friday night around the Big Lake?

We have a couple of 20 somethings visiting us. They"re looking for a pub or sportsbar to visit tonight.
They want to hang out with contemporaries...
If anyone has suggestions...I'm listening.

As a 20 something myself, who loves to come up with buddies, I've struggled with that issue alot. If you are near Wolfeboro, you might suggest trying Wolfetrap's raw bar or the Upper Deck Sports bar. They aren't bad, but they're not great in terms of drawing a big crowd either. And some of the crowd is inevitably "burnouts"? if you will that they might not be too interested in talking too.

Honestly, I have found that often my best bet is to enjoy the downtime with buddies around a campfire or a game of poker. Just my experience. Good luck!

Default on the other side of the lake...

Patrick's Pub in Gilford is a good place to hang out on the weekends as well. It's smoke-free, and usually has small bands on Friday and Saturday nights. It's not a true "sports bar," but does have many tv's throughout the restaurant that show the Red Sox, ESPN, etc.
Good Luck!

Kate...

Patrick's usually has good crowd of 20-30 somethings as does the Paradise Beach Club in the Weirs.... tonight the Paradise has a great band playing... the Bars. Guiseppes in Meredith has a pretty young bar crowd towards the later part of evening.

Patricks has a nice atmosphere, Paradise Club at the Weirs is a good option
(never beenthere), also a nice place I see young people is the Weirs Beach Smokehouse I think they have bands there on weekends as well ( also never eaten there but I have seen the place a few times and did stay in one of the motel rooms they have in the back). I hope these ideas are helpful even though I have only been to Patricks for dinner and that is a nice location and the other 2 are choices maybe others know more about than me.

Default hang out for 20 year olds

Lets see if I can recall that far back,,,,,oh yeah and it was lots of fun. I was hanging out in the Navy... Lots of people my age, many doing the same thing I was, perhaps not all at once though. It was exciting.

i agree with all the other suggestions, and I'll add....send them over to the dog track. They can bet on lots of races and/or hang out in the blues bar

Blues bar? Dog track?

Where? Please share. I'm always down for a good blues bar.

Grant: It's the newly re-opened dog track over in Belmont. Kate: Have the twenty-somethings check out the concert schedule at MEADOWBROOK in Gilford.

(I see that Pepper will be performing on August 13th ????)
