2 weeks ago, a nice looking bobcat appeared in the neighborhood. As it walked off, the otherwise healthy looking animal had a noticeable limp.
![]() Link here is video of bobcat limping: https://i.imgur.com/Pmg7BcJ.mp4 We have a gorgeous neighborhood fox who we see at least once a week. Well, the day after I saw the bobcat I heard animal 'screaming' and I looked out front and I saw the fox pursuing the bobcat across the street. I grabbed the phone but I didn't get decent video, but I caught some fox screaming. Link here is fox screaming at the bobcat. In the upper right of the video, you have to turn the volume on. https://i.imgur.com/jZjjxhZ.mp4 I believe usually the bobcat is the predator in these situations, but maybe the bobcat injury and/or the fact that it is fox mating season could have played a factor here. Anyway, it was a nice little exchange and I think each went off unscathed, from what I could tell. |
