Arrow Pickleball - Monday, July 10 -Waterville Valley

Rain, rain, rain ...... such a rainy Monday and outdoor pickleball has been rained out at the outdoor courts in Moultonborough and Meredith, today.

For any of you pickleball die-hards who are desperate to play pickleball today ..... you know the large, well-equipped, three-pickleball courts venue inside the Waterville Valley Elementary School gym will be open today, Monday, July 10, from 4-6pm for Pickleball-All Play.

I think it costs five dollars for non-Waterville Valley property tax payers and it is a very nice gym with a beautiful hardwood floor that gets resurfaced every year, and has black lines for basketball and dark green, 2" lines for pickleball.

Hey, if you are really desperate, bring a swim wet suit top and hit the town beach at 7-acre Corcoran's Pond for some 66-degree cold water swimming in the rain, and yes, the fecal bacteria NH-DES advisorie yellow signs in place from June 16 to July 7 have been removed because the pond passed its most recent test by the DES. Open to anyone and everyone, this includes YOU! ..... the 7-acre town pond and sandy beach and $20 kayak-sup-canoe-pedal boat rentals on Corcoran's Pond that has very clean public rest rooms nearby, close to Olde Waterville Pizza.

I swam about 125-yards there yesterday at 5-pm, July 11, using a foam noodle, swim flotation belt because 66-67-degree water is too COLD to be swimming the deep water without one. No swim wet suit top or O'neill thermo top, and it was pretty danged cold what with all the recent rain inflow. Big difference between wading the shallow cold water and swimming the deep cold water where drowning is real.

Maybe go hiking up a mountain trail using an umbrella ....... ugh! ....... no, no way! ......... and take a drip-trip! ......
