Default Moonrise

The moon rose over Wolfeboro around 4:00 PM this afternoon, creating this nice scene.

Tough to look out at that view, isn't it????

Nice Picture Don.

We have seen a similar view several times around the scenic view near Mt. Major, and always without a camera in the car.

Default Nice Shot!

DRH: I was just outside lugging firewood when I saw the huge moon hanging in the sky and I wondered if you would get a shot of it. Come inside, fire up the computer and we have a photo posted! Beautiful! McD

Wow, Don. That's really beautiful!

It's a lot nicer looking than the moon I sent you!

Talking The cold moon

May I ask, which moon are you referring to. I believe there are 2 mentioned in this thread.

Default New Wallpaper

DRH,

I was looking for a more seasonal wall paper and now I see this fantastic shot.

The wall paper search is over.

Great job!

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Default Is that Cosmo's moon?

La Luna, La Bella Luna!

Just watched Moonstruck for the umpteenth time last week. Has to be one of my all time favorites.

Thanks, DRH! Just changed my wallpaper to this shot for a more seasonal theme.

Default Wallpaper

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone.

For those of you who want to use this photo as wallpaper, I've included some larger versions (see my original post above). For best results, use the version that most closely matches your Windows "Display Properties" monitor resolution setting.

Nice picture but no babes on sleds yet!

I guess that this is not Cosmo's moon.

DRH has a thing for Moon Shots there was one posted back in March that I have as wall paper on my home PC.

Do you mean to say that DRH has a propensity for photographing posteriors or rather that he has an eye for an awe-inspiring orb?

Heeeeee! It's not my fault! It all started when my friend Fran forwarded the frisky fanny-flapping elf!

While I've noticed DRH's moonshots before, I've yet to find anything that says he has some posterior propensity. If he had such a predilection I've think we'd have seen this shot (below) rather than the beauty above
