I just went to change my oil in my 4.3L MerCruiser engine.....
I've done this before using a hand pump I purchased at boat supply store. The pump has an inlet hole where you connect a plastic tube, the other end over the dipstick (yes I removed the dipstick). The other inlet hole you connect another plastic hose, where the pumped oil will come out. The issue is, when I start pumping, no oil comes out, it's like there's something wrong with the pump ? I've only used this pump 'one' time, in the past, so confused ? As an alternative solution, is there an electric pump or a pump that can be attached to my electric drill to pump out the oil ? Thanks for you comments, much appreciated ! Last edited by bigdog; 08-11-2021 at 11:07 AM. Reason: spell |
