Default High Speed Access in Suissevale

Does anyone in or around the Suissevale area in Moultonborough have Verizon or Adelphia High Speed access? Are you pleased with the service?

Thanks!

Default Adelphia

Hi. Sorry I didn't see this message until now. Verizon does NOT currently provide high speed service for Moultonboro area. We live in Suissevale and have Adelphia. It has been fine. The only trouble we encountered was that we had previously had Verizon in Laconia, and it took my husband a couple times of rebooting to get the system to recognize Adelphia as the new server. But, if you are a totally new user, this won't be a problem

We also have a wireless router in the house to connect the laptop to the computers upstairs....works fine.

Yes we have it but some times you have to get a little pushy to get it hooked up! Service is good but not always the lightning fast claimed.Still much fast than dial up and I am generaly pleased.

Default It's not always the provider

Don't be too quick to blame Adelphia or any other service provider because you do not always get the "lightning fast service" they claim. they are at the mercy of the server to whom you are trying to connect, and I have noticed download speeds on video anywhere from 20 something kilobytes per second up to almost 400 KB per second (Metrocast).

As our own hardworking and dedicated webmaster has stated in the past, during peak traffic periods, this server has had trouble keeping up with the demand.

With DSL, I'm told that distance can be a detriment when over about 5 miles to the switching center.
