How many inches thick is that ice there in the photo?

Unless you is a native Inuit from Nunavit, Canada, who know about the ice big time ...... is not so easy to say ..... without drilling a hole and measuring.

For about five dollars, you can protect youself, by making an easy to wear and inconspicuous noodle flotation belt, with a foam noodle that has a hole running through it length wise, a 3/8" line, and some duck tape ....... is so very simple and cheap to make ...... and works so good for floating vertically with it under your armpits ...... or centered at the waist for swimming the breast stroke, sidestroke, overhand crawl, and backstroke ... plus you get a choice of designer colors .... and it gets worn underneath your winter coat ..... like a belt around your waist.
