Default Carriage House

We used to love the Carriage House at the Castle but when we went there shortly after they opened they no longer offered table service.
Once seated we all (5) had to go back in line to get a drink.
After that we had to wait in a longer line to order food which was delivered by staff
I understand the trouble everyone has finding staff but we prefer full service when we go out to a sit down restaurant…..hope they find some servers next year

Same here--it used to be a special place to have lunch. Cocktails and delicious sandwich or entree with unbeatable view

Even worse than Sam's report--food served in paper to-go boxes and it's bus your own table. A good snack bar for a tourist attraction, but no longer a good restaurant

I went today for the first time in 2 years.

Fantastic day to see that view…but yes to everything said above. We had to make a trip to the bar to get our drinks (and to pay for them), and same with the lunch. (gratuity included on food, but not on drinks)

Food was adequate, but not great. It’s a shame…20 or so tables were full outside, and they did a decent job at bringing the food out, but they just need four or five more employees to make it work. It’s a shame.

We also went for lunch , very odd business plan. They also had the nerve to tell us that we were expected to clear the table and put the stuff in the trash. But to beat it all they are after tips ! They should tip me !
