Default Full Foliage Season in Jeopardy?

Looking at several trees on my property this morning. Severe cases of blight. Some are dropping leaves already. I think the lack of sun is going to negatively impact the deep foliage colors in the fall. Any experts to weigh in on this? I cannot find much discussion on this subject. I hope I am wrong...

Default For the trees, this rain is just ducky

Although not a direct answer to your question, this article in the current might be of interest.

Here's an article from the United Statues National Arborretum about autumn colors. Note this sentence from that article:
A growing season with ample moisture that is followed by a rather dry, cool, sunny autumn that is marked by warm days and cool but frostless nights provides the best weather conditions for development of the brightest fall colors.
Looks like ample moisture is good -- so let it rain!
