WOW, you dont see that at a dock very often,,,
Maybe a waterline came off the motor, or a hull breach??? It had to have something major happen to get so much water in that it overloaded the bilge pump. I had to beach a boat once to save it from sinking. If you know water is coming in fast, thats the best way to save a boat, well assuming you can find a beach or similar area to ground the boat until repairs can be made. |

Given the fact that the boat ramp seems to be in front of the boat this is a real possibility.....
However there are other likely culprits like a leaking bellows...... someone forgot to tight up clamps on the raw water intake etc..... Bottom line is someone had a bad day...... I wish I could say I never forgot a drain plug, but it happened once or twice.... fortunately it was always notice early.... got installed, and the bilge empty in time..... It will be interesting to here what happened here.

It was there when I came in at 6:45am, I posted some pics on the Winni facebook groups. Ishoot308 and I both were snapping photos.
Not sure what time it went down, but Gilford Fire had already been there and recovered the seats and life jackets that were floating in the bay. I didn't come back in until 6pm last night, and by then it was long gone. |
