This mom obviously hasn't seen the studies that report on the economic cost/value of a mom/housewife, and I would suggest she has no idea of the overhead for running her kitchen in terms of mortgage, utilities, amortized cost of appliances etc etc. Buying food is only a part of restaurant overhead. Hubby should taker someplace where there are no prices on the menu.
