Today I read an article in Consumer Reports Aug 2016, Page 7. They indicated that Microsoft has been downloading Windows 10 to unsuspecting computers and installing Windows 10...without the owners permission. Maybe masquerading as a Windows Update.
I guess the recipients are not happy. Replacing an entire operating system without the owners knowledge seems a bit OVER THE TOP to me. Am I interpreting this correctly ???  NB |
Yikes, here is a scan of the article. I'm running WinDoze 7 and have had the persistent offers for Doze 10. Would have been really p***ed if it installed on it's own.
