Why you think this is "big brother" and invasion of privacy?
I can understand if you find irritating, annoying or disruptive, but you are not being spied on by this service. It is just broadcast localized to a certain area. Your phone is in that area because it registers with specific cell towers.
If your privacy is being invaded, it is by having cell service in the first place, not by this service.
