One thing to consider, especially with a "budget" of $700-800k is town tax rates. For instance, Alton 13.95, Bedford, 20.02, Dover 24.85, Hampton 15.93.
Perhaps think the area (approximate) rte 93>101>95>state line. Small towns often are k-8 with HS's region (Sanborn Regional in Kingston for example).
Relatively cheap bus service to Logan, no parking woes / exorbitant fees.
Many things to consider with a move like this.
